Service was performed on a 1998 Subaru Forester.  I took this car in because of noise from the engine.  After

inspecting the vehicle I was called to let me know that the timing belt seemed to be the issue and was given an estimate for that repair.  Upon further inspection it was determined that the issue was much larger than just a worn timing belt and had to do with a broken bolt that secured the tensioning pulley for the belt.  The bolt had been over tightened on a previous repair at a different shop causing it to fail and cause significant damage to all of the other pulleys and belts on this car.  The folks at Elite Auto took great care to photo document and keep all parts that were damaged and replaced so that they could walk me through the entire process when I picked up the car.  While the process took longer and cost more than initially expected, the folks at Elite were in constant contact with me throughout the process to update me on progress and to check in as to the price.  While I am not pleased that a previous shop did not do the timing belt change properly and that it cost me significant money to repair their mistake after only 20,000 miles - a repair that should lasted at least 60,000 to 80,000 miles - I am very pleased with the professionalism, knowledge, communication, and overall efficiency of Elite Auto.  They cleaned up another shop's mess and did it very well and for a very fair price.  I will be back with my Subaru  and my other vehicle for service.  Elite is very communicative during all phases of the service.  Overall it was a very positive experience.  I would recommend them to anyone!

They did engine and suspension work.  They also did a tune-up on my car.  We have used them at least a half a dozen times in the past.  They are very quick and honest.  They are always conscientious and are always all around very good.  They are very competent and promtpt

We needed to have a car registered in RI and inspected.  Elite was recommended to us.  Great experience.  Courteous and took alot of time with on the phone.  Gave us estimates for price and timing belt that were right on.  Just overall a wonder experience.

I have a problem with the muffler on my car.  I called them and explain that I heard some noise coming from the muffler; they indicated that they were fully booked for that day; but I explained that I only needed to verify if it was an emergency and I should not drive my car as it was or if it was something that I could fix later and still drive my car.  They accommodated to receive me within 20 mintues after my call (the time it took me to get to the shop).  They took all my information and verified my car shortly after I arrived.  They indicated that the issue was very minor (small leak in the muffler) and should not merit an immediate action that I should wait until it got worse because it was not worth to do anything at this point.  They they said that I owe nothing for their time even though I was not required to go back.  It struck me as very nice thing for them to do and also I liked that they were honest with the issue I had (i.e. they could have told me that they needed to fix the issue when they had time).  Overall, I would take my car there in the future.  - Angie's List

 I needed an oil change and my check engine light was on.  I had been looking around for an auto service place to go, rather than the dealer (as my extended warranty was finished)  I decided to join Angie's List and check, and I'm so glad I did.  I would never have known about this place, as it is not as close to me as some other auto repair places.  The reviews on it were so strong.  I decided to give it a try.  I was delighted to find a master Volvo mechanic there.  I had him also check the car over.  He found something he will be monitoring.  I like that the customer gets to talk to the mechanic.  The costly pierce of this bill was the check engine light repair needed, which was due to a faulty repair when my starter was replaced when it died suddenly and I went to the repairs in that parking lot.  I was repaired and everything is good now.  I have a lot of confidence in this mechanic and will definitely be returning to Elite for future service.  I would also encourage my husband to go here when his Lexus  is out of warranty, as they specialize in Lexus too among others.  - Angie's List

Done on time, on budget, and did not come up with any phantom repairs to pad the bill.  I had gotten an estimate from the garage across the street from me for the same work and Elite saved me half.  Elite also threw in a car wash.  I will definitely go there from now on.   Ian Moyes

As a single woman who knows nothing about cars the last thing you want is to go in for service who knows nothing about cars, the last thing you want is to go in for service on your car and no know if you are being told you need more than you do or paying more than you should.  I noticed a noise when I was braking, so I looked on Angie’s list and Elite Auto came up first.  I read some of the reviews and decided to call.  A gentleman answered the phone and I explained my problem and he kindly spent 15 minutes explaining what he thought it might be and offering to go over my entire car at no cost and would take care of anything it needed.  I took it in and they called to tell me yes, it did need new front and back along with rotors but they could resurface the front ones so I would save $300.  I told them to please do the work and I just felt comfortable knowing it would be done right.  I was called the next day and told it was all finished and that one of the guys stayed late to get it done which I thought was so kind.  They were closed when I picked it up and imagine my surprise when I found out was not only washed but vacuumed and cleaned inside (what an awesome thing to do).  I was extremely happy with Elite and would recommend them to everyone.  You certainly do not need to go to a local dealership when Elite is far above in courtesy, service and quality
